Expert Care at Your Door

Home Vet Visit & Vaccination for Dogs and Cats

Getting your pet vaccinated shouldn't mean a stressful car ride or a crowded clinic waiting room. ThePetNest's home vet visit service brings a qualified veterinarian directly to your door — across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, and Noida — so your dog or cat receives professional, clinic-grade care in the one environment where they feel completely safe.

📌 Did you know? Acute stress in pets triggers a cortisol spike that can temporarily suppress immune function. Research in veterinary immunology confirms that vaccines administered to stressed animals may produce a weaker antibody response. At home, your pet's baseline stress is dramatically lower — which means better vaccine efficacy, not just a more comfortable experience.

🏠
Zero clinic stress
Familiar surroundings reduce cortisol levels, helping your pet stay calm — leading to a more accurate examination and a stronger immune response to vaccines.
🦠
No cross-infection risk
Clinic waiting rooms mix animals of all health statuses. Parvovirus and panleukopenia can survive on surfaces for hours. A home visit eliminates exposure entirely — critical for puppies and kittens with partial immunity.
🐾
Multi-pet convenience
One visit covers your entire household. Dogs, cats, seniors, and young ones — all seen in a single appointment without multiple clinic trips.
📅
Flexible scheduling
Morning and evening slots, 7 days a week. Book same-day or plan ahead — our vets work around your schedule, not the other way around.
Vaccination at Home

Core Vaccines We Administer at Home

All vaccines are transported in cold-chain-maintained kits to preserve potency. Our vet conducts a mandatory pre-vaccination health check before any injection — a step frequently skipped at high-volume clinics but non-negotiable in our protocol.

Core
DHPPiL
Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza & Leptospira. The foundational 5-in-1 combo — started at 6–8 weeks, repeated every 3–4 weeks until 16 weeks, then annually.
Legally Mandated
Rabies
Required by law across Indian states. Administered at 12–16 weeks with a 1-year booster, then every 1–3 years depending on the vaccine type used.
Recommended
Kennel Cough
Bordetella bronchiseptica — essential for dogs with park exposure, boarding history, or interaction with other dogs. Intranasal or injectable options available.
Advisory
Canine Influenza
Recommended for dogs in high-density urban metros. Our vet will assess your dog's lifestyle and risk profile before recommending.
Core
FVRCP (Tricat)
Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus & Panleukopenia — the essential cat combo. Started at 6–8 weeks, boosted every 3–4 weeks until 16 weeks, then annually.
Legally Mandated
Rabies
Critical even for indoor-only cats — accidental outdoor exposure is common. Administered at 12–16 weeks with annual or triennial boosters as advised.
At-risk Cats
FeLV
Feline Leukaemia Virus — strongly recommended for cats with outdoor access or multi-cat households. Our vet will test for existing FeLV status before vaccinating.
Advisory
FIP (FCoV)
Recommended in high-density multi-cat environments. Our vet will advise based on your cat's risk and living conditions.
Vaccination Calendar

Puppy & Kitten Vaccination Schedule

Timing is everything with vaccinations. Follow this evidence-based schedule to ensure your puppy or kitten builds full immunity before their protection window closes.

Age Dogs (Puppies) Cats (Kittens) Notes
6–8 weeks DHPPiL — 1st dose FVRCP — 1st dose Maternal antibodies begin waning — ideal start window
10–12 weeks DHPPiL — 2nd dose FVRCP — 2nd dose Critical booster — do not skip or delay
14–16 weeks DHPPiL — 3rd dose + Rabies FVRCP — 3rd dose + Rabies Full protection established once maternal antibodies clear
12–15 months Full booster round Full booster round First annual booster — mandatory for continued immunity
Every year DHPPiL + Rabies FVRCP + Rabies Some vaccines are triennial — your vet will customise the schedule

* Schedules may vary based on vaccine brand and your pet's individual health history. Your ThePetNest vet will provide a personalised plan at the visit.

Our Protocol

What Happens During a Home Vet Visit

Every ThePetNest home vet visit follows a structured clinical protocol — not a casual check-in. Here's exactly what your vet does, step by step.

1
Pre-vaccination health assessment
A full physical examination before any vaccine is administered — temperature, heart rate, lymph nodes, coat, and eyes. Vaccines must never be given to a febrile or immunocompromised animal. This step is non-negotiable in our protocol.
2
Cold-chain verified vaccine administration
Correct site, correct route (subcutaneous or intramuscular per vaccine type), correct dose. Vaccines are transported in temperature-controlled kits and potency-verified before use — same standard as a registered clinic.
3
15-minute post-injection observation
Anaphylaxis and acute allergic reactions, though rare, occur within minutes of injection. Your vet stays on-site to monitor before concluding the visit — a safeguard most mobile services skip entirely.
4
Digital vaccination certificate
You receive a record with vaccine name, manufacturer batch number, date of administration, and next due date. Accepted by boarding facilities, groomers, airlines, and pet-friendly residential societies across India.
5
Personalised aftercare advice
Nutrition, deworming schedule, tick-flea prevention, dental hygiene, and breed-specific concerns — addressed without a waiting room rush, at whatever depth you need.
Full Service Menu

Beyond Vaccination — Complete Home Vet Care

Your vet arrives fully equipped to handle much more than vaccines. Combine services in a single visit to save time and reduce stress for your pet.

  • ✓
Deworming & anti-parasite treatments — Ticks, fleas, and intestinal worms are year-round concerns in India's climate. Your vet prescribes the right product for your pet's age, weight, and exposure risk.
  • ✓
Wellness & full body examination — Early detection of heart murmurs, skin infections, dental disease, ear mites, and joint stiffness before they become serious conditions.
  • ✓
Sick pet consultations — Vomiting, lethargy, loss of appetite, limping — our vets assess unwell animals at home and prescribe medications, or advise on hospitalisation if needed.
  • ✓
Senior pet assessments — Dogs and cats aged 7+ benefit from more frequent monitoring. Home visits remove the physical strain of travel for arthritic or mobility-impaired senior pets.
  • ✓
Post-surgery & recovery monitoring — After a clinic procedure, home follow-ups allow your vet to check healing progress without stressing a recovering animal.
  • ✓
Home lab sample collection — Blood work, urine samples, and skin scrapings collected at home and sent to certified diagnostic labs. Results shared digitally.
  • ✓
Nutrition counselling — Breed-appropriate diet planning, managing obesity, food allergies, and supplement recommendations tailored to your pet's health status.
Is This Right for You?

Who Benefits Most from Home Vet Visits?

😰
Anxious or reactive pets
Dogs and cats who become aggressive or unmanageable at clinics are often perfectly calm at home — leading to safer, more thorough examinations and more accurate diagnoses.
🐈‍⬛
Multi-pet households
Coordinating three cats or two large dogs to a clinic is a logistical challenge. One home visit handles everyone, saving you hours across the year.
👴
Senior & arthritic pets
Travel is genuinely painful for older animals with joint disease. A home visit is a welfare decision — it prevents unnecessary suffering for pets who struggle with car journeys.
🍼
New pet parents
First-time dog or cat owners often have many questions. A home visit creates space for a longer, unhurried conversation — something a busy clinic almost never allows.
💼
Busy urban professionals
In Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai — where traffic and schedules collide — a home visit is the practical default for quality pet care.
🐣
Unvaccinated puppies & kittens
Young pets who haven't completed their vaccine series have limited immunity. Bringing them to a clinic waiting room before full vaccination is a genuine disease risk.
Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. ThePetNest vets use the same licensed, government-approved vaccine brands available at registered veterinary clinics — including Nobivac, Canigen, Felocell, and Rabicyne. All vaccines are transported in cold-chain-maintained kits and temperature-verified before use.
Yes. You receive a digital vaccination record with the vaccine name, manufacturer batch number, date of administration, and next due date. This is accepted by most boarding facilities, groomers, airlines, and pet-friendly housing societies across India.
Our vet stays for a minimum of 15 minutes post-injection to monitor for immediate reactions. Mild lethargy or reduced appetite in the 24 hours following vaccination is normal. For any concerns after the vet has left, our support team is accessible via WhatsApp at +91 93540 74426.
No — and this is a critical safety point. Our vets conduct a mandatory pre-vaccination health check before any injection. If your pet is running a fever, is immunocompromised, or is showing signs of illness, vaccination will be deferred and the appointment will shift to a sick visit, with vaccination rescheduled once your pet recovers.
ThePetNest's home vet visit service is currently available in Delhi NCR (including Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad), Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai. We are actively expanding to additional cities. WhatsApp us at +91 93540 74426 to check availability in your area.
Keep your pet in a calm, accessible room they're comfortable in. Have their previous vaccination records ready if available. For cats, a small closed room prevents them from hiding. Avoid a large meal 1–2 hours before the visit if blood work is being collected.
