I am moving abroad and need to find a good home for him. He is a 2 year old cocker spaniel. Very friendly and playful, just not socialised with other dogs. He loves to run free so family with a big yard/farmhouse will be preferred.
Leo is not a picky eater. He has a taste for everything. He loves eggs, bananas, yogurt, rice, plain buttermilk (chaach) and cucumbers. His favourite is dahi-chawal with a boiled egg. If he doesn't eat something, just mix a cooked egg in it and it will be in his tummy in a snap. I feed him chicken and fish (without the fish bones) too. I tried mutton bones too but he is not able to chew them as they are too hard for him. He can also live on any boiled unsalted daal and he is a paneer fan. According to the vet's advice I don't feed him milk, sugar, wheat/maida), salt, processed foods (salami/sausage/etc), oily things (a little ghee in his food is fine), mushrooms, garlic/onion, apart from other things harmful for dogs. He is a 500% good boy and loves to bring you his toys when you come home, but would make you run after him to play with that today (hahaha). He loves belly rubs and would come sit/sleep/chill where ever you are. If he falls in love with you, he'll follow you everywhere. He loves car rides too and will bark for your safety if he hears footsteps in the stairs other than yours. He can be left alone for 3-6 hours. He might climb and sit on your sofa/bed but he will not scratch the life out of your cushions or poop/pee in the house. And he will be super duper excited when you come back home. He also follows some commands like come here, shake hand, turn around, jump, lie down, high five (all with voice + hand signals). He is highly food motivated. Highly. The only problem is that he is not socialized with other dogs/vehicles. He came to me few months ago and being a first time pet parent I tried everything I could to get him to socialize, but I could not get to do it. Leo was purchased from a breeder by his original parents and they didn't do a very good job at getting him to meet other things/dogs. So he barks for his life when a vehicle passes by or he sees a dog nearby. Not because he is aggressive, but because he is too afraid of them.
