Your dog or cat can't tell you something's wrong. A blood test can. Our certified vet partners collect samples right at home — no clinic visit, no unnecessary stress, no guesswork.
Why it matters
A trip to the lab means strange smells, nervous waiting rooms, and a stressed pet before the needle even comes out. It doesn't have to be that way.
Pets have noticeably lower cortisol levels in familiar surroundings. Calmer pet = more accurate sample. Your home is already the safest place they know.
Between the drive, the wait, and the drive back — a routine lab visit easily eats three hours. We come to you in a 60-minute slot and you don't have to leave the house.
Our vet partners are licensed professionals, not phlebotomy assistants. Sample quality and chain-of-custody are maintained exactly as they would be at any reputable lab.
Every report delivery includes a complimentary vet call. Your vet partner walks you through the numbers in plain language, not medical jargon, and advises on next steps.
Older pets and those with travel anxiety benefit most. Reduced physical exertion before sample collection also means baseline readings are far more representative.
Choose a package or a single test. The price you see is what you pay — no hidden collection fees, no pharmacy upsells, no waiting-room markups.
The process
No surprises. No complicated steps. Just four simple stages between you and your pet's full health picture.
Choose a panel from our packages below or call to customise. Select a morning or evening slot that fits your schedule. Fasting requirements (if any) are confirmed at booking.
A certified vet partner from ThePetNest visits with all collection equipment. They calm your pet, locate the vein (usually the cephalic vein in the leg), and collect the sample in minutes.
The sample is properly labelled, packaged in a cold chain if required, and delivered to our accredited partner lab. You get a confirmation the moment it reaches.
Results are reviewed and delivered to you in 24–48 hours, along with a complimentary call where a vet explains what every number means for your pet.

Common questions
Everything you might wonder before booking a home collection — answered plainly.
Before the visit
For most panels, no. Fasting is only required for a few tests like lipid profile or fasting glucose — and if it applies to the panel you choose, we confirm the exact instructions when you book, so there's never any guesswork on the day.
During & after collection
A certified vet partner gently locates a vein — usually the cephalic vein in the leg — and draws the sample in a couple of minutes. It's the same quick prick used at any clinic, but in a calm, familiar setting, which most pets tolerate far better.
It's rare, but if a clean sample can't be drawn on the first visit — for example with a very anxious or dehydrated pet — we reschedule a second attempt at no extra cost, or fully refund your booking. You're never charged for a collection that didn't happen.
Your report
Most reports are delivered within 24–48 hours of collection, depending on the panel. Time-sensitive tests like progesterone come back faster, in 12–24 hours. You'll get a notification the moment your report is ready.
Yes — every report comes with a complimentary call. A vet walks you through what each number means for your pet, flags anything that needs attention, and advises on next steps, all in plain language rather than medical jargon.
Compared to other services
This service is specifically diagnostic sample collection plus lab testing. A home vet visit is a full clinical examination and treatment; an online consultation is advice over chat or video. They pair perfectly — many parents test first to get the data, then book a vet visit or consult to act on it.
