What Happens on Grooming Day

Before the visit: you get the groomer's name and an arrival window. For gated communities, add them as an expected visitor in your society app (MyGate, NoBrokerHood or similar) so they aren't stopped at the gate.
First 5 minutes: the groomer checks your pet's coat, skin, ears and nails, asks about any sensitivities, and confirms the package with you.
The groom: bath, dry and the services in your package, at your pet's pace. A helper joins for large or nervous dogs.
Before leaving: the bathing area is washed down and loose fur cleared. You can rate the groomer in the app.

What to keep ready

A bathroom or utility area with a tap, a socket near it for the dryer, and a towel your pet is used to. That's it; the groomer brings the rest.

Lots of Bangalore cats are indoor apartment cats who have never been in a carrier, let alone a salon. Grooming them at home avoids that fight altogether. Our groomers handle cats quietly and slowly, keep the dryer low, and stop for breaks when a cat needs one. We regularly groom Persians, Himalayans, Maine Coons, Ragdolls, British Shorthairs and Indie cats.

A cat session usually covers a bath, careful combing out of knots, nail trim, ear and eye cleaning and a hygiene trim around the rear. Spa Bath and De-shed Sessions at Home

Not every pet needs a haircut. Sometimes they just need a deep clean and the loose fur out of their coat before it ends up on your sofa. Our spa session is a warm bath with a premium shampoo and conditioner, a full blow-dry, a thorough brush-out of loose undercoat, a nail trim, paw-pad tidy and a short massage to finish.

Dogs book it as the Spa Bath (₹999) and cats as Bath + Basic Grooming (₹1,199). In Bangalore it's especially popular with Golden Retriever and Husky parents during shedding season. Curious what goes into a spa session? See what is a pet spa.

Grooming Through Bangalore's Long Rainy Season

Bangalore rarely gets very hot, but it does get wet. The southwest monsoon runs from about June to September, the northeast rains follow in October and November, and the city's parks, lakesides and leafy layouts stay damp for much of that time. That is when most of the coat and skin problems we see begin.

Ticks after park walks

Cubbon Park, Lalbagh and every layout with long grass are tick country in the rains. Ask for a tick check at each groom between June and November, and an anti-tick treatment if the groomer finds any.

Damp coats and hot spots

Thick coats that stay damp after a rainy walk can develop red, itchy patches. A full blow-dry right down to the skin is the most important part of a monsoon groom.

Muddy paws and nails

Wet ground softens and dirties paws. Trimming the fur between paw pads and keeping nails short helps your dog grip on wet floors and brings less mud indoors.

Shedding when the weather turns

Double-coated dogs often shed heavily as the seasons change. A de-shed session clears the undercoat in one go instead of weeks of fur on the floor.

Can I bring my pet to your store instead of a home visit?

Yes. Our BTM Layout Experience Centre (2nd Block, BTM Layout Stage 4) offers dog and cat grooming in-store, 10 am to 9 pm. The Yelahanka store also grooms pets in-store, 9 am to 9 pm. Home visits are available across most of Bangalore if you'd rather not travel.

Do you have a mobile grooming van in Bangalore?

No. We don't use vans. Instead, the groomer carries a portable setup with a high-velocity dryer into your home and works in your bathroom or utility area. This works in apartment towers where a van couldn't park, and your pet stays in familiar surroundings.

Should I shave my Golden Retriever or Husky?

Usually not. Their double coat insulates against both heat and cold, and shaving can damage how it grows back. A de-shed session that removes the loose undercoat keeps them comfortable and cuts down shedding at home. If the coat is badly matted, the groomer will explain the kindest option.

How often should I groom my dog during Bangalore's rainy months?

Keep to your usual schedule (every 3 to 6 weeks depending on coat), but add a tick check at every session from June to November and ask for thick coats to be dried right to the skin, because fur that stays damp underneath is how most monsoon hot spots start.

Can you handle an anxious, senior or very large dog?

Yes. A helper comes along for large or nervous dogs, senior dogs get extra support for stiff joints, and the groomer pauses as often as your pet needs. If your pet is clearly distressed, the groom stops and we decide together what to do next.

How far ahead should I book?

Weekend mornings fill first in Bangalore, so booking 2 to 3 days ahead gives you the most choice. Weekday slots are often available sooner, depending on groomer availability near you. You can reschedule from the app.
